Football Helmet Cookies

I've been making a lot more sugar cookies lately, and wanted to try these little football helmets since it is football season. The guest of honor who enjoyed these went to Notre Dame :-)

Cake in a Jar

Now, do you ever wish you could have cake stored ready to eat in the fridge? Well, this is the perfect product for you! I sound like an infomercial! Haha! So, I wanted to send some cake in the mail, but didn't really know how to go about it, until I came across these little mason jars, perfect for storing food...cake in a jar! Perfect! These consist of layers of cake with buttercream icing in between each layer. If you don't finish all of it, then put the lid back on and just stick it in the fridge! Easy as apple pie! Well, cake, in this instance!

Tree Shower Cake

I hear nature calling! Well, if cake is considered nature, then yes, it is calling! LOL! Always in my world! Okay, back to business, this is a half white velvet, half red velvet cake with buttercream icing. All the accent decorations are made out of fondant. I just love the little apple falling from the tree with the name of the soon-to-be baby girl :-)

Purple Crayon Cookies

Sometimes, I really do miss all of the crayon fun I had as a child. I remember just loving to color all the time. Not to mention, the beloved walls in the house, driving my mother bonkers when she would find out. Oh yes, the memories. Now, these purple crayons may not give the ability to color, but they can be eaten! Yummy. These shower cookies were inspired by Harold and the Purple Crayon book.

Giraffe Print Onesie Cake

Oh the baby love. It seems as though there have been quite a handful of baby showers lately. I am starting to wonder if there is something in the air? Well, at least I can experiment with different designs, especially on the ever so popular onesie cake! This cake is a chocolate cake iced in buttercream icing, hand carved into a onesie. The giraffe spots and welcome sign are made out of fondant. The grass is buttercream. Until next time my cake lovin' fans!

Cinderella Inspired Fondant Cupcake Toppers

Oh, if life was still all about fairy tales and glass slippers...sometimes, I really wish I was a kid again. I remember how much I enjoyed how storytelling would spark my imagination. Of course, most of the time, princesses were involved. The beauty about decorating desserts is that the fantasy land plays a prominent role in creating a story or just simply creating an artistic piece. I really enjoying playing a fairy tale in my mind when I was creating these edible fondant cupcake toppers. All of the toppers are made out of fondant, with some having edible glitter on the decorations.
